Born backstage in Bergen.
Zempel started with a simple problem: too much festival knowledge lived in inboxes, spreadsheets and individual people's heads. We wanted one place where the whole team could work.
The name comes from a Bergen habit of shortening words. The Norwegian "for eksempel" (for example) quickly becomes just "sempel". We added a Z.
And making complicated things simpler has been the idea ever since.
